MIRAMAR FAMILY 2017

On Sunday 7th May 2017 the eagerly awaited Miramar Family will take place. It’s among the most crowded non-competitive races in Italy. The start is at Miramare and the finish line in piazza Unità d’Italia, the largest square in Europe overlooking the sea.

All participants of the Miramar Family will be taken to the start line by special bus shuttles. In order to get on the bus, all participants must wear the running number and the official Family 2017 T-shirt.

Pushchairs, prams and scooters are allowed along the course, but bicycles are strictly forbidden.
Dogs are allowed on the course but they have to be on the lead and owners must clean up after their dogs using proper plastic doggy bags.

Payment must be done to APD Miramar, IBAN IT25R0303202200010000002431, then you have to send an e-mail to [email protected] with a copy of the bank transfer. Groups have to consist of minimum 50 people and have to be entered by a team leader in a single list. The team leader will collect race bags and bibs for the whole group.

The registration form and the receipt of the bank transfer must be carried out by 15 April via e-mail to [email protected]

 

IMPORTANT

The registration form of a person under 18 must be signed by a parent or legal guardian.

Registration paid and not collected by 19hrs of 6 May 2017 will be cancelled and no reimbursement will be allowed. Registration and running number collection will not be possible on the race day.

The registration fee includes:

– pre-race transport with shuttle to the start from Piazza della Libertà (in front of the railway station.)

RUNNING NUMBER COLLECTION

Running numbers can be collected personally on Thursday 4 May (from 16 to 20), Friday 5 May (from 10 to 19) and Saturday 6 May 2017 (from 10 to 19) at the Miramar Expo (at the Starhotels Savoia Excelsior Palace Hotel, Riva del Mandracchio, 4).

REGISTRATION DEADLINE

Registration will be closed at 19:00 on 06/05/2017 unless the maximum number of participants is reached before. A.P.D. Miramar reserves the right to close registrations in advance or not accept entries and its decision will be final.

REGISTRATION REFUND

Registration fees are not refundable for any reason whatsoever.

SHUTTLE TO THE START

Before the race, a free shuttle service will be available and reserved for participants to reach the start.

Buses will leave from Piazza Libertà from 7.30 to 9.15.

The last bus leaves at 9.15.

Access on the bus is reserved for participants bearing their running number.

Dogs are allowed on the bus but must be muzzled and kept on the lead.

Result lists are not available since it is an amateur non-competitive event.

MEDICAL SERVICE

A proper medical service will be available and managed by the organization in collaboration with local health services.

First aid points will be set up along the course, as well as ambulances and bikes following the runners.

FINISH LINE

The finish line is in Trieste in Piazza dell’Unità d’Italia.

LIABILITY

Upon signing the registration form, either on paper or digital (e-mail or online form), the entrant declares to know, accept and follow the general rules. The participant recognizes and accepts that potential danger and risks related to the participation in the event, which in any case requires fitness and a good level of training he/she declares to have.

The participant assumes all risks linked with his/her participation and/or presence in the race, among which, but not only, falls, damage/injury caused by contact with other participants, by adverse weather conditions, by the presence of vehicles and road surface conditions.

By entering the race, the participant assumes full responsibility for any kind of injury and/or accident, which may occur participating in or only being present at the event, including those that may happen during transfer from and to the event.

The participant relieves APD Miramar, of any responsibility whatsoever, for circumstances and facts linked to the participation in the event or in any way connected to the event, waiving any claim or legal action against the Association and/or its members and/or collaborators and any other who works for the event.

The participant is aware and acknowledges that the registration fee is non-refundable, even if he/she does not participate or any other reason whatsoever.

The participant authorizes filming and photographing as provided by art.96 e 97 l. 633/1941, the publication and dissemination of images that portray him/her on both the official web site of Miramar and also on any other media, and authorizes Miramar to store videos and photos in its archives as well as in those of the organization’s official photographers.

In accordance with Italian law n.196 dd.30.06.2003, all personal details collected including those related to the photo portrait will be used for the event purposes only, for promotion and for the preparation of the participants list, the rankings, the historical archive, and for provision of services contained in the rules as well as for the information and advertising material on behalf of Miramar and its partners.

FINAL REMARKS

A.P.D. Miramar reserves the right to change these rules in any moment in order to guarantee a better organization of the race. Changes in the services, places and times will be announced to all participating athletes and will be posted on the website www.triestemarathon.it. Moreover, the documents containing the essential information to take part in the race will be handed out by the organization together with the running number.
